Messenger Leads The Way

Messenger helps you to communicate in todays modern electronic world.

By Stephen Bell - 7th February 2001 - Back to News

An evolutionary organisation is not something that happens overnight, something you can buy online or something you can ask for at Christmas. No, this creation takes effort and time… but is well worth it in the long run. Here are some strategies we employ here at Messenger.

Customer Focus This means getting to intimately know the wants and needs of your customers. As every successful business knows, the customer is the core of business as you cannot survive without them. In the 1960’s customers were satisfied with a product that worked when it was needed. These days, consumers expect the same amount of attention to be focused on not only delivering what the product promises, but on great service. The customers are now well aware of their rights, and expectations – and if you do not deliver, they are quick to move on. Consumers demand to be delighted and excited by the products and services they purchase. To be successful, management needs to respect and use this knowledge. There are four main areas relating to Customer Focus. They are: Marketing, Promotion, Selling and After-sales Service. Marketing Identify your customers. Who are they? What do they need? Define the products that would please your market. You can do this in many ways, from surveys and questionnaires to suggestion boxes and experiments. Developing relationships with special customers will give you great insight to what it is like to be in their shoes.

Promotion Once you have the perfect thing to offer your market, let them know! Your goal is to make possible customers realise that you have the solution to their problems for a price. This can be done in endless ways, from skywriting to a leaflet drop. There is a method to suit every business.

Selling The most important factor for your bank balance is the process of making sales. Contracting individuals to satisfy their needs with your products and services is an art form on its own. However, if you have the right product aimed at the right audience with a successful promotions campaign, the sales will take care of themselves.After-sales Service Effective after-sales service will not only create a happy customer, but keep them for a lifetime. And isn’t that what every business wants?
