100 Women, 100 Stories

Composed by six award-winning female musicians, this song cycle is inspired by the real-life stories of women from all walks of life. The result? A celebration of harmony, connection, and the extraordinary strength of women. Over one transformative weekend, participants will learn and rehearse a collection of powerful songs, culminating in a breathtaking performance on the stage of the Wonthaggi Union Theatre.

Cr Halstead said, "This project is a powerful testament to the transformative role of arts, song, and culture in uniting communities and amplifying women's voices. Through the universal language of music, 100 Women, 100 Stories celebrates the diversity, resilience, and shared experiences of women, while fostering a sense of connection and belonging."

Inspiring women's stories

Cr Rochelle Halstead, "It's about more than just a performance - it's about inspiring change, honouring the stories that shape us, and creating a brighter, more inclusive future for all women and girls.
