Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said, "This is the third year in a row that Bass Coast has held the number one spot, clearly demonstrating our community's determination to keep waste out of landfill."
"The Bass Coast community deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated for their brilliant recycling efforts. Here in Bass Coast, we are committed to living in harmony with our environment while we prepare for future challenges and changes. We declared a climate emergency back in 2019 and we're proud to be leading the way in recycling and resource recovery," Cr Whelan concluded.
