Maffra Lawn Tennis Club gets $55,000 funding upgrade from federal Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program
The redevelopment of the Maffra Lawn Tennis Club is progressing well ahead of the new season according to local MP Darren Chester.
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said the club received $55,000 from the Federal Government through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program for the latest stage of work. "The volunteers have been redeveloping the facilities over several years with the support of different government grants," Mr Chester said.

Mr Chester also said, "So now the community will benefit from modern, safer and more attractive tennis courts, clubrooms and spectator amenities. The redevelopment is a testament to the dedication and passion of volunteers and will benefit the community for many years to come." Wellington Shire Council is managing the project.
