Latrobe City Council endorses Federal Election Strategy to secure investment, jobs, and economic growth for the community
Latrobe City Council endorsed its Federal Election Strategy, outlining ten key priorities to secure investment, jobs, and economic growth. A recent Canberra delegation reinforced advocacy efforts for hydrogen development and infrastructure projects.
Latrobe City Council is prepared for the expected Federal Election, after endorsing a Federal Election Strategy at its meeting yesterday. The strategy focuses on ten key priorities for the Latrobe City community and aims to secure government investment to drive job creation and economic diversification.

Advocating for Latrobe
Council will continue to deliver a strong message of how the government can partner with Latrobe City and provide focus for Federal Government efforts in the lead up to the expected election. The strategy has been supplemented by a recent delegation to Canberra where productive discussions were held with several federal members and ministers.
Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman outlined the importance of a coordinated approach to advocacy and a local need for Federal Government support. "As we expect the Federal Election will be called soon, I am proud of our efforts at Latrobe City Council to ensure that we are front-of-mind."
"Our Federal Election Strategy clearly identifies council's key priorities, including our New Energy Future for hydrogen development in Latrobe City and infrastructure investments to support industrial and residential growth. We are hopeful the Federal Government will consider these priorities when considering their upcoming commitments," said the Mayor.
