Southern Rural Water will auction 2,897 megalitres of seasonal allocation for Macalister Irrigation District from November 2024 to March 2025, supporting irrigators and funding network improvements through proceeds.

Mr FitzGerald said, "This is a fantastic opportunity for irrigators to augment their water supplies over summer and autumn. The allocation sale will be divided over six auctions, with a supplementary auction at the conclusion to make available any unsold volume from the previous allocation auctions."
