Winners of 2023 #Lovegippsland calendar competition announced by Darren Chester
Local MP Darren Chester has announced the winners of the 2023 #lovegippsland calendar competition.
The three winning images include a kangaroo and joey taken by Paula Walland of Warragul, as our bushland recovers from the fires; the historic Swing Bridge at Sale taken by Graeme Hunt of Lakes Entrance; and a quintessential rural scene of kelpies at Dargo taken by John Trail of Maffra.
Local MP Darren Chester said the 2023 #lovegippsland calendars were now available throughout Gippsland
Highlighting the region's beauty
Mr Chester said there were over 280 entries for the calendar and he was impressed by the high calibre of entries. "This year's theme 'My Favourite Place in Gippsland' highlights many beautiful places throughout the region such as magnificent scenery, native wildlife and iconic Gippsland structures," Mr Chester said.
"The 13 images chosen to feature in the calendar are just a sample of the incredible imagery from across Gippsland and really showcase how diverse our region is. Congratulations to our winners and to all the entrants for so many wonderful entries. Each year I am amazed to see the beauty of our region and the talent of Gippslanders." Mr Chester said.
Free copies of the #lovegippsland calendar will be distributed throughout Gippsland and will also be available from Mr Chester's electorate offices in Sale and Traralgon. Businesses and community organisations can request a box of calendars by contacting Mr Chester's electorate offices.
