Expressions of Interest sought for 'Threads exhibition' Coal Creek by 12 February 2023
Coal Creek Community Park and Museum will be holding an exhibition in March and April 2023 titled THREADS.
South Gippsland Shire Council is seeking applications from local artists and crafters for a new exhibition that will be held at Coal Creek Community Park and Museum during March and April. The exhibition called 'THREADS' will have the theme 'Women in Textiles' and feature works made from textiles and/or fibre materials. The exhibition will launch on International Women's on Wednesday 8 March.

Artists and crafters
Artists and crafters of all genders are invited to submit an expression of interest to be included in the exhibition by Monday 13 February. Preference will be given to South Gippsland based artists.
Selected artists and crafters will be featured alongside works by renowned artists Cresside Collette and Deborah Klein and the Coal Creek Spinners. The exhibition will also feature items from the South Gippsland Shire Council and Coal Creek collections.

Opportunity to vote
A 'People's Choice Award' will be held during the exhibition which will give visitors the opportunity to vote for their favourite artwork or object by a local artist or group. The artist or group behind the selected work will win a membership/renewal to an arts organisation or network up to the value of $300.
