Buchan township revitalization

Mr Chester said local contracting crews had been working hard on the project in recent months thanks to funding from the Federal-State Local Economic Recovery grant program. The improvements to the Buchan township managed by East Gippsland Shire, include:

  • Enhancing the streetscape with new pathways
  • Linking the main street to the Buchan Caves Reserve and the sporting facilities

"Investing in better facilities on public land is good for the liveability of our local communities and tourism," Mr Chester said.
