Gippsland students encouraged to join 2022 Jobskills Expo at Lardner Park on 26 July 2022

Job expo for Gippsland students to explore opportunities for their future career.

Local students and young people are encouraged to come along to the annual Jobskills Expo to explore opportunities for future career pathways with Baw Baw Shire Council and other industries.

JobSkills Expo will facilitate partnerships and broker initiatives between education and training providers, local service providers, local communities, and industry

Variety of career information

The annual Jobskills Expo provides a wide variety of career information, advice, and hands-on activities to inform young people with jobs and industries within the regional workforce.

• Where: Lardner Park, 155 Burnt Store Rd, Lardner
• When: Tuesday 26 July - 9:00am to 2:00pm

Over 2000 year 9 and 10 students, VCAL students and young people are expected to attend the expo and will engage with 100 exhibitors across a number of industries including education providers, government organisations, emergency services and defence forces.

Working for council

Mayor Cr Michael Leaney said, "Working for council is a great way to have a direct positive impact on your community or region. There's a diverse range of career pathways to explore within council and we are always looking to attract bright young minds to work with us. I encourage the young people within Baw Baw Shire to come along to the expo and learn about the potential avenues to explore at council and other local workplaces."
