South Gippsland and CFA planned fuel reduction burn scheduled for Tom Kindellan Reserve, Nerrena on 11 April 2025
A planned fuel reduction burn will take place at Tom Kindellan Reserve, Nerrena, on Friday, 11 April 2025. CFA and South Gippsland Shire Council crews will manage the controlled burn over 3.6 hectares.
A planned burn off is scheduled at Tom Kindellan Reserve, Nerrena Road, Nerrena on Friday 11 April 2025. The CFA, in conjunction with South Gippsland Shire Council will be conducting a planned fuel reduction burn to reduce fuel loads at Tom Kindellan Reserve, Nerrena.

This work will involve crews using wet control lines and controlled fire over an area of 3.6 hectares. On the day, please:
- Avoid driving into the burn area
- Be aware of fire trucks, slow moving vehicles and firefighters in the area
- Take care on the roads - smoke could create dangerous driving conditions
- If you have respiratory issues, stay indoors
