Following expert advice, Baw Baw Shire Council yesterday closed Exhibition Hall in Warragul and is awaiting an engineers report to determine the next steps for this facility. Hall bookings cancelled
Council has reached out to all hirers with bookings in 2025 and all future bookings at the site have been cancelled until further notice. Council is also working with the operators of a playgroup, which runs out of Exhibition Hall, to support their ongoing operation.
Council is taking proactive steps to ensure the site remains safe for the community by implementing measures such as bracing and securing the structure. Temporary fencing has also been installed to prevent unauthorised access while these safety measures are in place.
