Upcoming building renovations

This project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2023, subject to favourable weather, contractor availability and material supply. The aim of this project is to update the existing building's roof and guttering system to ensure we reach the expected lifespan of the building. These works will include replacement of steel roofing sheets, guttering, flashings, and addition of roof insulation.

Community members may notice pre-commencement works (fencing installation, site mobilisation, traffic sign installation etc) prior to the start date. "Council recognises that it can be a challenge to deliver the necessary works and not affect the residents, businesses, and facility users, especially when much of our work is determined by weather conditions."

"We appreciate that these works may present an inconvenience and we ask for your patience during these times. Our contractor will make every effort to minimise disruptions to residents, facility users and businesses. The community, residents, businesses, and other stakeholders will be kept up to date with this project via council's website, QR codes on the project sign and letter box drops or mail outs, where appropriate." said Greg Box, Acting CEO, Bass Coast Shire Council.

Project information

What to expect:

  • There will be no access to the tennis pavilion throughout the duration of the project. Exclusion zones will be in place surrounding the building and the works area
  • Tennis club users will still be able to access the courts during construction but will need to seek alternate arrangements for amenities
  • Some car park spaces immediately west of the pavilion may be in use for trailers and contractor vehicles
