Community consultation extended for Sunderland Bay and Surf Beach estates
Extension community consultation period for the proposed road and drainage improvement program for Sunderland Bay and Surf Beach estates.
Bass Coast Shire Council is extending the community consultation period for the proposed road and drainage improvement program for Sunderland Bay and Surf Beach estates until Monday, 20 December.
If supported by Council and the community, the proposed road and drainage improvement program for Sunderland Bay and Surf Beach estates would be the largest special charge scheme undertaken in Bass Coast
Community engagement to consider
Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said that due to an anomaly in the letter distributions, some hardcopy letters were not received. "Because of this, we have extended this initial consultation period until 20 December to provide property owners with more time to provide their feedback. We would like to thank everyone who has participated in the community consultation so far." Cr Whelan said.
Following this consultation period, a report outlining the feedback received and the potential to progress the project with detailed investigation and further community engagement will be considered at a council meeting in early 2022.
Send your feedback
This consultation phase will primarily take place online. To provide feedback, visit surf beach roads to access the interactive map, engagement platform and community questionnaire. Alternatively, the community can contact Council's Senior Project Engineer on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211 or email sunderlandbayandsurfbeachupgrade@basscoast.vic.gov.au.
