Wellington Council upgrading Kilmany Resource Recovery Centre with alternative unloading, and road resealing for a month
Wellington Shire Council is upgrading the Kilmany Resource Recovery Centre, including temporary unloading bay closures and road resealing. Alternative unloading areas and guidance will be provided to minimize disruptions during this period.
Wellington Shire Council is undertaking maintenance and upgrade works at the Kilmany Resource Recovery Centre at Velore Road in Kilmany. These works are expected to take place over the next month.
The general rubbish unloading bays will be temporarily closed for maintenance, with alternative areas provided. Access road resealing may cause occasional disruptions
Kilmany access upgrades
As part of the project, the general rubbish unloading bays at the centre will be closed temporarily to allow for maintenance. Alternative unloading areas will be set up to ensure continued service during this period.
In addition, resealing works will be carried out on the access road located to the east of the transfer station. These works may cause occasional disruptions to site access. Council asks all residents visiting the site to dispose of waste to follow the directions of site staff and to exercise patience while these necessary upgrades are completed.
