Kosciusko and Bank Street intersection in Traralgon to get vital safety upgrade as part of federal government's $300M commitment for 2022
Latrobe City Council is pleased Regional Roads Victoria will begin vital upgrades at key intersections along the Princes Highway this year.
Safety upgrades at the Kosciusko Street and Bank Street intersections in Traralgon are earmarked for 2022. These upgrades are part of the federal government's $300 million commitment to upgrade the Princes Highway Corridor in Victoria. In addition, council's $5.1 million upgrade to Marshalls Road and the Traralgon-Maffra Road will be delivered through council's 2022/23 Budget.

Delivering improvements
More people are moving to Latrobe City or utilising the Princes Highway to visit key attractions in Gippsland. Community members are encouraged to use Snap Send Solve to report road issues. Snap Send Solve is available for free from the App Store and Google Play.
Mayor of Latrobe City, Councillor Kellie O'Callaghan was pleased works would begin on these priority intersections. "Council would like to thank the federal government for their investment in the Princes Highway Corridor and the state government for managing these upgrades through Regional Roads Victoria."
Report local road concerns
Ms O'Callaghan also said, "Council is also proud to deliver our own improvements at Marshalls Road and Traralgon-Maffra Road. Improving safety and reducing congestion at our key local intersections is a priority and these works are a step in the right direction."
"Snap Send Solve is a fantastic way for our community to report local road concerns. This saves our community members time and ensures their request is handled by the appropriate authority," concluded Cr. O'Callaghan.
