Buchan Recreation Reserve and Mallacoota to get final round of bushfire recovery funding from Local Economic Recovery Program
Buchan Recreation Reserve will have upgraded courts thanks to the final round of the black summer bushfires Local Economic Recovery Program.
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said the $491,000 project was part of a larger initiative to improve facilities and amenities at the recreation reserve. "The new courts will complement works already planned at the reserve and ensure the netballers have a safe and appropriate surface to play and train on."

Mr Chester said, "In addition, the wilderness workspace capability program in Mallacoota also received $188,000 in this funding round to strengthen the work underway. This final round of funding continues to support communities in East Gippsland as the recovery from the Black Summer bushfires." The Local Economic Recovery Program is a joint federal-state government initiative announced after the Black Summer bushfires.
