Discussion on closing of Lookout Road in San Remo to traffic ends on 4 April 2023
Bass Coast Shire Council plans to close a section of Lookout Road, San Remo to prevent illegal activities that have been occurring including lighting fires, dumping of rubbish and hoon driving.
Bass Coast Shire Council's proposal will fence off the last 200 metres of the road for the purpose of ensuring community safety. The section of road will be closed to vehicles but remain open to pedestrians and cyclists to safely use as a shared pathway. Council invites our community to submit feedback on the proposed closure, with all submissions considered to inform the final decision.
After considering the submissions, the council may either decide not to physically close Lookout Road to traffic or to physically close it
