South Gippsland Shire Council update late October 2021
Updates about South Gippsland Shire events.
Nominations are open for the 2022 South Gippsland Australia Day Awards. These awards are a great opportunity to celebrate individuals who go above and beyond for our community. We are lucky to have so many people who give so much to our community. It is a great opportunity to say thank you and let them know their work is appreciated.
If you know someone who deserves to be recognised for their contribution to the South Gippsland community, now is your chance!
Like last year, there will be two categories - Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year. Usually there will also be an Event of the Year category, but this category has not been part of the awards for the past few years due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully it can make a strong return in 2023.
To lodge your nomination, simply click the button below and download an application form. There are two questions about the nominee's contribution to our community and you need to attach at least two letters of support with your application. Nominations close 8 November 2021 with the awards ceremony to take place in January 2022.
For more information and nomination, visit Australia Day Awards.
