UV disinfection is a powerful tool that works by using ultraviolet light to disrupt microorganism growth, function and reproduction. The system is used alongside filtration and other treatments. UV treatment also has no impact on the taste of water. The Maffra water treatment plant draws water from the Macalister River and services more than 8,000 people across Maffra and Stratford.
