Calling all badminton enthusiasts! The future of the sport is coming to Latrobe City on June 1-2, 2024, as Badminton Victoria (BV) hosts the 2024 AIA U/15 and U/19 Junior State Circuit. This two-day tournament is more than just a competition; it's a platform for Victoria's most promising young badminton players (under 15 and under 19) to showcase their talent and dedication. Spectators can expect a thrilling display of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Badminton expands reach

BV CEO Clint Proctor said, "We're thrilled to bring this high-calibre event to Latrobe City. Expanding badminton's reach beyond Melbourne is a key part of our mission. Latrobe hosts badminton

Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Darren Howe said, "This is the second year of a three-year agreement between Council and Badminton Victoria to host this competition in Latrobe City. Our partnership allows the Council to help support the growth of badminton in the region."

"It's fantastic to have the facilities to host Victoria's emerging badminton athletes in Latrobe City. It gives players a chance to progress in their sport, while bringing visitors to our region. It's also a credit to the Latrobe Valley Badminton Association, who have driven participation locally and established a welcoming and inclusive sporting culture," he said.
