The Draft Plan brings together the community's priorities for the township and has been developed in collaboration with a panel of community members and a reference group of key organisations including the Smiths Beachcombers Association, Phillip Island Nature Parks and the Woolamai Surf Life Saving Club.

Vision for a future

The aim of the Draft Smiths Beach Town Plan is to present a vision for the future of Smith Beach across eight key areas, including Access and Movement, Built Form, Environment, Governance, Land Use, Play and Celebration, Public Realm and Services.

The plan also includes four 'game changer' projects, including a new trail, upgrades to the Smiths Beach and YCW Beach car parks and a proposed shared zone on Smiths Beach Road, among other actions and initiatives across the wider community.
