New multi-level car park in Traralgon to deliver 365 free spaces, easing congestion and supporting growth
A new four-storey car park in Traralgon will provide 365 free spaces, easing congestion and supporting growth, as part of a broader plan to deliver 900 free spaces across Latrobe Valley.
Locals and visitors in the Latrobe Valley will soon benefit from more free parking, with construction underway on a new four-storey multi-level car park in the heart of Traralgon. The new facility will add 365 new, free all-day parking spaces, conveniently located near key services such as the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre and the Latrobe City Council Service Centre.
A new car park will ease congestion, supporting access to services. It's part of a 900-space Latrobe Valley parking initiative, with 350 spaces already delivered
Easing parking congestion
As Traralgon continues to grow with more retail, employment, health, and education opportunities, parking has become harder to find. This new car park will ease congestion on local streets, making it easier for the community to access essential services, shops and businesses.
This project is part of our commitment to deliver 900 free car parking spaces across the Latrobe Valley, with more than 350 already delivered - including 110 new spaces at the Seymour Street multi-level car park in Traralgon late last year.
Other projects already complete include 144 new spaces opened up across three sites in Morwell and 100 new spaces in Moe. The parking spaces complement other work currently underway in the Latrobe Valley, including upgrades to the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium and Gippsland Sports and Entertainment Park as part of the Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
