Mirboo North Resilience Hub progresses with Starlink installation, enhancing emergency communication and energy sustainability
Stage One of Mirboo North's Resilience Hub is complete with a Starlink connection, enhancing emergency communication. Funded by a $180,000 grant, next steps include generator installation and a solar-battery system for energy sustainability.
Stage One of the project is complete. After the installation of a Starlink connection, the Mirboo North is one step closer to a completed Resilience Hub, providing emergency communication, power and refrigeration services to support the town during future emergencies.
The Victorian government provided $180,000 through the Tiny Towns Fund, with council, Mirboo Country Development Inc, and the Community Foundation delivering the project
The Victorian Government funded the project via a $180,000 Tiny Towns Fund grant to be delivered by Council in partnership with the Mirboo Country Development Inc and the Community Foundation.
The next two steps are generator Installation to provide immediate energy resilience during emergencies and implementation of a Solar Power and Battery System to deliver long-term energy sustainability after critical systems are operational.
