On your way there, pop through the charming old rail towns of Nar Nar Goon, Garfield and Bunyip. With local produce, wineries and historical sites, this road trip is perfect for gourmets and history fans alike.

On your way

On the road to Warragul, head through Nar Nar Goon, the 'mural town of Victoria'. See if you can spot them all.

On your way back

While all getaways must come to an end, you can stave off the sadness with a visit to Cannibal Creek Winery. This beloved vineyard offers French-inspired wine and delicious food in a relaxed country setting. The contemporary space is immediately comforting with a large wood fire, verandah and picturesque views over vine-clad hills.

The menu is seasonal but expect favourites like mushroom arancini or braised ox cheek - each dish is listed with a suggested wine pairing. What better way to wrap up the weekend than with a scrumptious lunch and a couple of bottles of world-class wine to take home.
