Free adaptable community training in South Gippsland to recover from challenges of 2020
Free workshops for the community to join to help their organisations for more success.
We are encouraging all community members, volunteers and staff from community organisations and groups in South Gippsland to attend one or more of our free Adaptable Communities Training workshops. They have been designed to help community organisations recover from the challenges of 2020.

Workshop 3 details
The two workshops remain out of a series of four Adaptable Communities workshops that will be held in August 2021. All the details for these workshops can be found below.
- Strategic Planning - Setting a Clear Direction for Your Organisation
- Tuesday 3 August
- 5.30pm - 8.30pm
- South Gippsland Shire Council Chambers (2 Michael Place, Leongatha)
A good strategic plan is a logical map of where an organisation is now, where it needs to go and how it will get there. To register to adaptable communities training workshop 3 on strategic planning, visit workshop 3.
Ensuring defined organization direction
It is used to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen organisations and lead the team towards the common goal. This session will help committee members understand the importance of this planning in ensuring the organisation has a clear and defined direction.
Workshop 4 details
- Committee Succession Planning - Finding the Right Volunteers
- Monday 30 August
- 5.30pm - 8.30pm
- South Gippsland Shire Council Chambers (2 Michael Place, Leongatha)
Having a planned approach to renewing your committee helps ensure your community organisations is effective and sustainable.
Focusing on skill required
This session will help organisations plan for their committee's succession by focussing on what skills are required for each role and how to make these positions more attractive to potential committee members. Thinking differently about how and who they might recruit will help attract the right volunteers for the organisation to achieve its purpose.
