Comfort to the garden's members
The committee is using the grant to purchase an outdoor waterproof defibrillator. The defibrillator will provide a level of comfort to the garden's members and community groups who use the space on a weekly basis. I stopped by and met with Maree and Sonya to have a look at everything that has been achieved since its inception over seven years ago.
Seed Lakeside Community Garden is a place where people can gather inside or outside to engage in activities which encourage social engagement and raise awareness of the importance of looking after your health and wellbeing. While their focus is on providing community garden beds, private beds have been popular. Future plans include expanding the number of beds for hire.
The pizza oven has proven to be a big hit with many of the user groups. Thank you to the wonderful team of volunteers who give up so much of their time to help our community. Want to get involved, then visit Seed Lakeside Community Garden page.
