Feedback needed from local residents on what is to be done with former Yarragon Primary School site in Yolo Street
Council is seeking community feedback on the Draft Masterplan for the site at 3-5 Rollo Street, Yarragon (formally Yarragon Primary School).
A draft masterplan has been prepared by Council together with Blom Design to determine the future use of the vacant land following the relocation of Yarragon Primary School and Kindergarten to their new site.

Creating space for passive recreation
Council undertook an initial consultation process in January and February 2021 for the community to share their view on the best use for the site. The findings from this provided a base for the concepts presented in the draft masterplans.
The primary purpose of the site is to create a space that promotes passive recreation activities such as walking, playing, relaxation, contemplation, and enjoyment of art, culture and community events.
The draft plans include vegetation and landscaping activities as well as carpark upgrades and signage solutions, all intended to enhance the overall visitor experience for Yarragon residents and the wider community.
Potential to benefit the community
Mayor Cr Danny Goss said, "We know this site has great potential to benefit our community. However, it's the people who live and work around this space who know exactly what is needed and what will benefit the community most."
"If you have feedback, we want to hear it! I encourage those living in and around Yarragon, and those just interested in the future of this site to visit the Have You Say section on Council's site and let us know your thoughts".
To get involved and provide your feedback on the Draft Masterplan for Rollo Street, Yarragon, please visit the Baw Baw Shire Council's Have Your Saysection of council's website. This round of consultation is open until Wednesday 22 September 2021.
