The artists included in the exhibition are all vital to the past and future of visual art in the Latrobe Valley and the wider Gippsland region. The exhibition will be held from 28 August to 7 November 2021.
Opportunity for locals and visitors
A fiftieth anniversary provides an opportunity to mark the historical successes and cast eyes on the future; the exhibition '50 Years, 50 Artists' hopes to do both of these things.
"Latrobe Regional Gallery presents this exhibition as an opportunity for locals and visitors to the gallery to connect with works that acknowledge the changing face of our region through the many interpretations from artists over the years," Latrobe City Council Mayor, Cr Sharon Gibson said.
