Dispose your green waste
Mayor Cr Michael Leaney said, "Council's annual free green waste disposal service is back and right on time to help you with your spring-cleaning activities. Everyone must remember that while it's wet now, the potential of fires over summer is ever present and one of the best protections for fire is having a property that is clear of leaf litter, long grass and has a reduced fuel load.
"If you've been putting it off, now's the perfect opportunity to get rid of any excess tree branches and debris you may have gathered on your property. Now is the best time to act for the upcoming summer season."
"I strongly encourage residents to visit one of the transfer stations mentioned on the selected dates and take advantage of this free service to dispose of your green waste and have a good clean up". Cr Leaney concluded.
