Bass Coast Shire Kindergarten first round of registrations for 2022 are now open

Registrations for three-year-old and four-year-old kindergarten are now open.

Families can complete an online registration form and view all participating kindergartens via council's website at Bass Coast Kinder registration. Hard copy registration forms are also available from council's customer service centres, Bass Coast kindergartens, local Maternal and Child Health services and supported Playgroups.

Reducing kindergarten fees

The first round of registrations closes on Thursday, 30 June and offers will be made to families in the first week of August. You can still register for kindergarten after 30 June, but these registrations will be allocated after first round offers have been made.

Three-year-old children in Bass Coast Shire will have access to at least five hours a week in a part-funded kindergarten program. Funded kindergarten refers to the government subsidy that will reduce kindergarten fees. The five hours of kindergarten will progressively scale up to reach a 15-hour-a-week program by 2029.

Access and registration

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said, "The central registration system helps us to plan for the anticipated increase in demand for kindergarten places in Bass Coast over coming years. It also makes it easier for families to access and register for the service they need, in a convenient and time saving way."
