Official opening
Korumburra Bena Football Netball Club Change Rooms - South Gippsland Shire Council is pleased to announce the official opening of the new netball change rooms and refurbished football change rooms for the Korumburra Bena Football Netball Club. We welcome your attendance as we officially open this new community asset on Saturday 22 March from 11.00am at the Korumburra Bena Football Netball Club Netball Courts.

Live4Life Youth
Youth Mental Health First Aid training is now available for booking on council's website. This training equips participants with the skills to recognise and respond to signs of mental health issues in young people, providing crucial support and guidance. If this training would benefit you in your career or volunteer position, we encourage you to participate.
Additionally, refresher courses are available for those whose certificates are nearing expiration (certificates are valid for three years). Animal registrations
Animal registration renewals are due on Thursday 10 April. In the lead up to this due date, our Community Safety team will be sending out automated reminders to make sure renewals are paid on time and our pet owners don't incur a fine. Spam phone calls
Recently, council has received notification of some spam phone calls occurring in South Gippsland. Some of these calls are from people purporting to be calling from the council undertaking a census. Council does occasionally conduct community satisfaction surveys but these are undertaken by an independent research company. We do not facilitate a census.
If you receive a phone call that you believe to be suspicious, please don't provide any personal information. If you check the validity of the call by contacting council directly on 5662 9200.
Events and activities
Festival of Small Halls
The Festival of Small Halls Tour is coming to South Gippsland this March. Featuring Lucy Farrell and, Hat Fitz and Cara, this travelling lineup of live music will be activating 18 small halls around Victoria.
The Festival will be at the Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute on Friday 28 March and Mirboo North Hall on Saturday 29 March. Book your ticketsnow and enjoy an evening of toe-tapping tunes.

Foster skatepark
Help us design a new skatepark for Foster. As part of council's commitment to provide spaces which promote social inclusion and provide health and wellness benefits for the community, we have engaged CONVIC to design a new skatepark in Foster.

Funding opportunities
Time is running out to submit an application for South Gippsland Shire Council's second round of Community Grants. Community Grants are an opportunity for council to give back to local clubs and community groups who give so much to others.

Community Resilience Grant
