Formerly Toms Cap Vineyard, Carrajung Estate, driven by Ivy Huang and Rebeka Morgan, offers unpretentious luxury, sustainability, and idyllic accommodations. Located 2 hours from Melbourne
Together they have made sustainability and social consciousness a focus of Carrajung's ethos. A solid 2-hour drive east of Melbourne (about a half hour south of Traralgon or 45 minutes from Sale) you'll find the idyllic property, boasting delectable meals, luscious wines and chic accommodation.
Dining
Chef Pat Haney learned how to cook by watching his grandmother prepare hearty meals from ingredients sourced locally in San Diego. You'll be thanking Pat's granny when you sample his deliciously decadent menu. With a focus on local ingredients and ethical sourcing practices, Pat will leave you entranced with such delights as twice-baked duck leg and bay bug risotto. The menu is always fresh and exciting, changing with whatever is in season.
And the perk of being located at a winery? Every effort has gone into pairing the meals with the fine wines produced from the estate. Overlooking those vine-laden slopes, you can be excused for being a little distracted from your meal by those seductive restaurant views.
