Danny O'Brien's office collects donations for local charities, supporting vulnerable Gippslanders with gifts and essentials
Donations collected by Danny O'Brien's office for local charities provide toys, gifts, and essentials to vulnerable Gippslanders during Christmas, supporting children in care and families facing financial hardship.
Donations received at the office of The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O'Brien have been passed on to local charities to help ease the burden for vulnerable Gippslanders at Christmas time. Mr O'Brien highlighted that while Christmas is a time for celebration, it is also an extremely difficult time for many who are financially struggling or find themselves away from loved ones.

Holiday charity donations
Mr O'Brien said, "I have been collecting donations at my office throughout the year to pass on to local charities and was delighted to be able to hand over such wonderful contributions on behalf of the electorate this week."
"We received extremely generous donations of toys and gifts for children who find themselves in out of home care over Christmas to pass on to Heather Baird and her team of volunteers at A Better Life for Foster Kids as well as hundreds of nappies and various hygiene products to donate to Uniting's Emergency Relief Program.
"I am confident that these wonderful charitable organisations will ensure that these donations go a long way to ensuring even our most vulnerable Victorians are able to have a Merry Christmas this year," Mr O'Brien said.
Gippsland's generous spirit
Mr O'Brien said he continues to be astounded by the generosity of the people of Gippsland South and is extremely grateful to the selfless contributors who made this donation possible. "Even in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis, the people of Gippsland never cease to amaze me with their ability to think of others."
"We even had a wonderful contribution of gifts from the "Grey Street Mums" who collected toys within their group and then travelled from Traralgon to drop them at my office," he said. Mr O'Brien said his office, located at 54B Cunninghame Street Sale, will continue to serve as a donation point until 20 December 2024.
