Burn notification for Welshpool tip on 18 August 2021
Series of weed bonfires on the Old Welshpool Tip site.
Council is planning to burn a series of small noxious weed bonfires piled on the Old Welshpool Tip site on Telegraph Road, Port Welshpool on 18 August. This is subject to weather conditions and covid restrictions. Otherwise the burn will be planned for later in August/September.
Smoke may be visible when the burn is occurring but the bonfires will be monitored and fully extinguished before staff leave the site

The burn will be undertaken by Council staff and will be registered with the CFA. Please refer to the map showing the location of the bonfires within the property (area shown in red). For any concerns please contact Council's Environmental Projects Officer Eric Neville on 5662 9200.
