Pausing and reflecting on Remembrance Day 2022 in Bass Coast Shire
Remembrance Day, when at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns fell silent on the Western Front.
We are forever indebted to those who have served our country - both those who returned and the many who made the ultimate sacrifice. It is a day when all Victorians should pause, reflect and give thanks.
The community is encouraged to take a moment to pause, reflect and give give thanks to the service men and women
While the date and time marks the end of the Great War, after the signing of the armistice by the Allies and Germany at Compiegne, France, Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on the service and sacrifice from all conflicts.
Services will be held the length and breadth of Victoria and I encourage all to attend but, if unable, take a moment at 11am to recognise those who gave their lives so we could all have the nation we live in today.
