Trafalgar residents and visitors are invited to provide feedback on the draft Trafalgar Structure Plan, which aims to guide the township's future growth, sustainability, and liveability. Feedback is open until 8 December 2024.
Trafalgar residents, business owners and visitors are invited to provide feedback and community insights on the draft Trafalgar Structure Plan. At the heart of this project, the Trafalgar Structure Plan provides council with a clear strategic framework to guide future direction for the township so that it will be a place people want to live, work and visit for generations to come.
The draft Trafalgar Structure Plan is ready, and we invite community feedback following initial consultations that shaped its development. Please share your thoughts until 8 December 2024

The plan addresses important considerations including:
- Traffic and movement throughout the town
- Analysis of residential, commercial and industrial land supply
- Managing risks related to flooding, bushfires, and erosion
- Ensuring appropriate land use separation
- Improving connectivity and access
- Promoting sustainability
- Enhancing liveability
- Protection of community heritage and environmental integrity
The plan will also include recommendations, strategies, and implementable actions to ensure growth is managed while fostering a resilient and thriving community for the future. Initial community consultation held back in April and May this year helped inform the draft Trafalgar Structure Plan. Now further feedback is being sought from the community to ensure what is being proposed accurately reflects community needs and expectations.
Review and provide feedback
Community members can review the draft plan online and submit a feedback form by visiting Baw Baw Connect at Draft Trafalgar Structure Plan website. The consultation period is now open, closing at 5.00pm on Sunday 8 December 2024.
A series of community information sessions will also be held where residents can speak to council officers about the project and provide feedback on the draft plan. Anyone is welcome to attend.
