Future leaders unite
Our ten Youth Ambassadors are passionate about sharing the voices and perspectives of local young people. Throughout 2025, they'll be working with Council on key issues, as well as planning and running events and activities that engage and empower youth across East Gippsland.
Jayden spoke about why the program matters to him: "There are many reasons I've joined the Youth Ambassador Program, but to keep it simple, I want to ensure that people across East Gippsland and beyond have the opportunity to share their views, be heard, and know that what they say truly matters."
Empower youth voices
Monthly meetings are held on Mondays from 5 pm to 7 pm in Bairnsdale, with the option to join online. We encourage young people from all parts of East Gippsland to get involved - especially from remote areas - because your voice matters, and we want to make sure your needs are represented.
Are you aged 12 to 25? Want to be part of something that makes a real impact? As a Youth Ambassador, you'll meet new people, develop valuable skills, and have your voice heard. Reach out to Tara Wilson at taraw@egipps.vic.gov.au or call (03) 5153 9500 if you are interested.
