Waste awareness survey
To understand how Council can educate the community about waste and recycling habits, we want to first learn what the community already knows about waste services in Latrobe City. Residents who complete the survey will go in the draw to win a $100 Visit Latrobe City gift card. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete and will give Council invaluable feedback on waste and recycling habits in Latrobe City.
Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Darren Howe, said he encourages community members to complete this survey, so Council can work towards reducing waste in Latrobe City. "Something I recently learned is Australians produce an average of 540 kilograms of waste per person each year. This is a number we really need to work together to decrease."
"Council's Sustainability Action Plan outlines how we are working towards achieving circular economy reforms. Council will be undertaking several waste and resource recovery initiatives including community awareness programs and is guided by the community on where to focus our activities," said the Mayor. Submissions for the Latrobe City Waste Survey close on 1 July 2024. Learn more and Have Your Say Latrobe City waste survey website.
