Bass Coast Shire Council wishes to advise of the completion of road safety improvements at the intersection of Soldiers Road and Agar Road in Bass on the week commencing 16 January, as part of Local Road Safety Improvement Program. Trimmer Tree has been awarded the tree trimming and tree removal works works followed by Jeffery Rural Fencing
Tree removal and trimming
Trimmer Tree is awarded for the tree removal/trimming works followed by fencing works by Jeffery Rural Fencing. These works are carried out as part of council's adopted Capital Works Program 2022/23. This is a carryover project funded by council's Local Road Safety Improvement Program. The total cost of this project is in the order of $65,000.
Benefits for the community from the works include upgraded road safety at the intersection of Soldier and Agar Road, improved motorist's sight distances, and enhanced intersection lighting. Council advises that the works will include tree removal/trimming works and replacement of boundary fencings of the corner property. Appropriate traffic control measures will also be implemented.
Keeping you up-to-date
Council recognises that it can be a challenge to deliver the necessary works and not affect the residents and public users of the road, especially when much of our work is determined by favourable weather, contractor and supplier availability.
The community, residents, businesses and other stakeholders will be kept up to date with the project via our website and letter box drops or mail outs, where appropriate. For more information on this project, visit Engage Bass Coast page or contact Bass Coast Shire Council's Infrastructure Delivery Team on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211.
