Woodside Surf Life Saving Club gets new hats from Darren Chester MP
Local MP Darren Chester is proud to support the Woodside Life Saving Club, presenting them with new hats.
Local MP Darren Chester said local surf lifesaving clubs do a wonderful job and he was proud to support the nippers program at Woodside. "Along with teaching young people how to be safe on the beach, the nippers in Woodside, Seaspray and Lakes Entrance are the leaders of the future," Mr Chester said.

Hard work and fundraising
Through hard work and fundraising Woodside Surf Life Saving Club was able to build a clubhouse and buy much needed equipment for their volunteer lifesavers. The club has expanded considerably: the clubhouse has been extended and they now have a large storage shed to store their water rescue craft and boards. In more recent times they have renovated the outdoor dining area.
In 2022 113 kids, aged between five and 14 years participated in their Nippers program, a record number for the club. The Woodside Beach Surf Lifesaving Club is a great example of what can be achieved when the community works together and I'm proud to do my little bit by sponsoring their junior hats!
