The park, on the corner of Marlo Road and Argyle Parade, is a popular recreation spot for families. The upgrade aims to modernise the park and meet the needs of users into the future. The project received $115,000 from the Victorian government's Local Economic Recovery Program, with Council funding the remainder.

The objective of Marlo - Triangle Park Upgrade is to create an engaging playground area suitable for a range of ages that complements the natural characteristics of Marlo within the nominated budget range

Looking forward to improved park

Mayor Cr Mark Reeves, a Marlo local, said the community has been looking forward to the park being improved. "Places for passive and active recreation are vitally important for communities. The park is an important asset for Marlo; it is a place for people to catch up and for children to have fun," Cr Reeves said.

Works began this week and will include creating a new all-abilities and diverse playground for children of all ages, and improved seating, barbecue and picnic facilities, and garden plantings. The park will be closed during the upgrade; however, the toilets will remain available to use. Pedestrian safety in the area will also be improved with Council constructing a pedestrian crossing on Marlo Road this month.
