Latrobe City's Volunteering Connections event to showcase opportunities at Old Gippstown on 15 February 2025
Latrobe City's free Volunteering Connections event on February 15 at Old Gippstown will connect community groups with potential volunteers. Held alongside the market, it showcases over 40 organisations offering diverse opportunities.
Latrobe City Council's Volunteering Connections event will be held on Saturday 15 February from 8.30am to 12.30pm at Old Gippstown, Lloyd Street, Moe. The event is free and aims to help Latrobe City community groups and organisations promote their volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer opportunities showcase
The event will provide an opportunity for community groups to connect with community members who are eager to learn about a variety of volunteering opportunities and wanting to make a difference in their community. The event will run in conjunction with the Old Gippstown Market, where people can enjoy music, market stalls and food.
Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman, said the event is a great opportunity for people to learn more about the volunteering options in Latrobe City. "There's something for everyone in Latrobe, from volunteering at any of Council's parks and gardens to local op shops and historical societies. I encourage you to head along and learn more."
"As a volunteer for the Traralgon Lions Club, I know first-hand how rewarding volunteering can be. Volunteers are greatly appreciated in Latrobe City and your hard work won't go unrecognised. Over 40 community groups and organisations will be in attendance, and all have something different to offer. You are sure to find a volunteering group that you are passionate about," said the Mayor.
