Latrobe Valley residents and business owners urgent to sign petition for increased police and PSO by 8 November 2023
Martin Cameron, urges Latrobe Valley residents and businesses to return petitions requesting increased police and PSO resources by November 8th. The collected petitions will be presented in Parliament soon.
The Nationals Member for Morwell, Martin Cameron, is reminding residents and businesses that completed petitions calling for more police and PSO resources in the Latrobe Valley must be returned to his office by next week. Mr Cameron released the petition in September after repeated calls for additional resources fell on deaf ears and a surge in reports of violent and anti-social behaviour across the region.
In response to unaddressed requests for more resources amid a rise in crime, Cameron released the petition in September and plans to present it in Parliament this month. Return petitions by November 8th
Petition for resources
Mr Cameron said, "My office has already received a huge number of completed petitions from across the region, which shows a far-reaching need for more police and PSO resources." Mr Cameron will table the petitions in Parliament later this month.
Completed petitions must be returned to Mr Cameron's office no later than Wednesday, 8th November. They can be delivered in person to 12-14 George Street, Morwell or by mail to Martin Cameron MP, PO Box 614, Morwell VIC 3840.
