Heyfield Kindergarten to get two disabled parking bays by 30 January 2023 from Wellington Shire Council
Following discussions with the Heyfield Kindergarten, Council is re-marking the existing car park at the front of the premises which will now incorporate two disabled parking bays.
Following completion of this work, from 30 January 2023 this area will be patrolled by Local Laws officers. Anyone parking in disabled car parks without a valid permit may be penalised. There is plenty of existing car parking available at the site, particularly along Gordon Street (adjacent to the kindergarten). Disabled car parking should always be left for people who need it and have a valid permit.

Going through process
Parking is also not permitted on the grass near the footpath at the kindergarten entry - it makes it difficult for people with mobility aids to enter the premises. Our team will monitor this area in conjunction with the disabled parking bays.
We are sharing this message now so users are familiar with this process before Term 1 begins. We thank you for your continued consideration for those in our community who require accessibility support, and for following the guidance provided by Uniting, who operate the Heyfield Kindergarten service.
