Gippsland tourism peak body aligns with Tourism Australia and encouraging vaccinations
National response for COVID-19, protecting yourself and the community.
Get vaxxed. Get ready to go. When you get your COVID-19 vaccination, you're not just protecting yourself and the community, you're also supporting hundreds of thousands of Australians who work in the tourism industry. We all want to get back to travelling in our incredible backyard, so the sooner you get the shot, the sooner we can all experience an epic Australian holiday.
The targets in the National Plan were agreed by all the States and Territories at National Cabinet on 6 August 2021
Phase A of the national COVID-19 response
National COVID-19 response measures may include:
- Accelerate vaccination rates
- Close international borders to keep COVID-19 out
- Early, stringent and short lockdowns if outbreaks occur
- Minimise cases in the community through effective test, trace and isolate capabilities
- Inbound passenger caps temporarily reduced
- Recognise and adopt the existing digital Medicare Vaccination Certificate
As soon as you're vaccinated, we'll be seeing you at our beaches, in our national parks,on a road trip around our villages, or at your next Gippsland feast. Get ready to go. Gippsland is waiting for you. The targets in the national plan were agreed by all the States and Territories at the National Cabinet on 6 August 2021.
