Tourism Fund 2024 offers grants for Gippslanders between $20,000 and $500,000 is until 28 March 2024
Friday's funding announcement offers grants of $20,000 to $500,000 for tourism, nonprofits, and Traditional Owner organisations in Latrobe City. Two streams support testing new infrastructure concepts and funding design, strategies, or plans.
You may be aware that a round of funding for tourism businesses was announced on Friday and we'd love to see some of that funding come to projects in Latrobe City. Grants between $20,000 and $500,000 are open to tourism businesses, not-for-profit and Traditional Owner organisations, to name a few. The grants will be delivered in two streams: the first providing support to test the concept of a large new infrastructure project like a feasibility study or masterplan.
The 2024 Enabling Tourism Fund aids regional projects in Victoria, supporting investment readiness through funding for planning activities, fostering demand-driving tourism infrastructure
Boosting tourism support
The second stream funds detailed design packages, funding strategies for community engagement plans. The fund is guided by five priorities of experiences that Victoria does best:
- First Peoples-led experiences
- Wellness
- Arts and culture
- Food and drink
- Nature
For more information please have a look at the Enabling Tourism Fund 2024 website which contains further information, including eligibility criteria, program guidelines and frequently asked questions.
Investment guidelines released
To further support the tourism industry, Tourism Investment Guidelines - A guide to tourism investment: from concept to reality was also launched on Friday. While tailored for the tourism industry, the guide will be a valuable resource for a diverse range of sectors. It provides support for small to medium-sized owners and operators, investors, and community groups as they navigate projects through the investment lifecycle. For more information, visit the Tourism project facilitation website.
Please feel free to reach out and discuss your applications with us, we'd love to assist where we can and would be happy to organise a letter of support from Latrobe City Council and the regional tourism body, Destination Gippsland. While we are happy to support you, should you have specific questions about your eligibility or the application process, you are best to reach out to the state government via the following email address: tourism.projects@ecodev.vic.gov.au
