Join the Yarragon and Trafalgar Pedestrian and Cycling Safety Study, funded by TAC, to enhance safety and connectivity. Share your experiences for improving paths and trails in the community.
A study has been launched to enhance safety and connectivity for cyclists and pedestrians in Yarragon and Trafalgar, with community members invited to get involved. Funded by a grant from the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), the Yarragon and Trafalgar Pedestrian and Cycling Safety Study will help Baw Baw Shire Council gain a better understanding of how the community uses existing paths and trails, and where opportunities for improvement may exist.

Community input needed
In developing the Study, council is asking community members to share their experiences of using the footpaths and walking and cycling tracks throughout the two townships. Mayor of Baw Baw Shire Cr Annemarie McCabe said, "Community consultation is the most important stage of this study."
"It will be the valuable input we receive directly from people who live with and use the paths that will give us the best understanding of what's working, what's not, and point us to any shortfalls or areas that need to be improved. Whether you walk to work or school each day, occasionally ride a bike on the weekend, or use the paths as a visitor, we want to hear from you," the mayor said.
Take part in the study
You can take part in the study by visiting Baw Baw Connect - 'Your Say, Your Way!' website, completing a brief survey and submitting your ideas and suggestions using an interactive map of the current networks in Yarragon and Trafalgar.
Your feedback will help inform recommendations to council and contribute to an overall improved user experience for pedestrians and cyclists. This community consultation opportunity is open until midnight on Sunday 29 October. To provide your input, learn more about the study and follow the project's progress, please visit Baw Baw Connect - Yarragon and Trafalgar Pedestrian and Cycling Safety Study website.
