Water Efficiency Rebate Program offering rebates up to $1500 to residential and small business launched by East Gippsland Water
Rebates for Water Efficiency from $10 up to $1500. Promotes sustainable water use, encourages upgrades to efficient fittings and appliances.
East Gippsland Water is excited to introduce its new Water Efficiency Rebate Program for customers across the region. Over the next five years, $90,000 per financial year will be available to provide rebates to customers, both residential and small businesses, to achieve water savings. There will be customer rebates available from $10 up to $1500.

Water conservation efforts
Executive Manager Customers, Community and Communications, David Radford said that water conservation is extremely important to East Gippsland Water. "It enables us to manage our water resources sustainably and reduce the load on our sewerage plants and recycling facilities."
"By updating and changing the water efficiency of fittings, fixtures and appliances around the home, this will help our customers to reduce their water consumption and save on their water bills. To encourage our customers to be more water efficient, we are offering rebates on a number of water saving products such as:
- Low flow showerheads
- Dual flush toilets
- Basket of water saving products including mulch and timers or diverters, Water efficient washing machines
- Swimming pool covers
- Water tanks and toilet/laundry connections
- Water conservation audits
"We've tried to make the rebate claim process as simple as possible, people just need to keep their receipts and complete an application form," Mr Radford said.
