Committee for Gippsland and Gippsland Climate Change Network expanding Gippsland offshore wind events to new locations in March
Gippsland's offshore wind projects return in March with community events in Port Albert, Golden Beach, Sale, and Leongatha. Locals can learn about project updates, share feedback, and explore job and business opportunities.
After four successful events in Yarram, Traralgon, Foster and Seaspray in November, Gippsland's offshore wind projects are back at four new locations in March. Locals are invited to attend events in Port Albert, Golden Beach, Sale and Leongatha, to find out about the next steps of the proposed projects, see maps, share feedback and ask questions.

Offshore wind opportunities
The Gippsland Offshore Wind Alliance said the events are an opportunity to learn more about offshore wind energy, upcoming project plans, long-term opportunities and to share feedback. Led by Gippsland Climate Change Network and Committee for Gippsland, the Alliance aims to provide a local platform for collaborative action to create an offshore wind industry that benefits Gippsland.
Alliance Co-Chair, Tony Cantwell encouraged the Gippsland community to get involved. "Offshore wind has the potential to drive positive outcomes for Gippsland, from jobs that benefit our communities to new opportunities for local businesses."
"These sessions are a great way for residents and businesses to engage directly with developers and ask them questions about their proposed project locations, timeframes, as well as potential job and business opportunities", said Mr Cantwell.
